Readseq can reads and writes nucleic and protein sequence in various formats. The formatted data files may have multiple sequences. It automatically detects many sequence formats, and interconverts among them. Some of the major molbio formats it understands are Stanford, GenBank, NBRF, GCG, Pearson/Fasta Phylip and Plain/Raw.
