NAME
ss (v. 1.4 to 1.6) - perl script for controlling X11-based Mosaic
SYNOPSIS
ss [ filename ] [ delay ] [ loops ]
DESCRIPTION
SS allows users to control X11 based WWW browser Mosaic in several
interesting ways. When invoked, ss spawns off a Mosaic process
automatically if not already running, else it controls an already
running Mosaic. Users can then provide URL's for display in Mosaic
either on the command line, or through a URL file.
OPTIONS
The command line options are:
filename
is the URL file containing URL's to be displayed in XMosaic. The
URL file must be a plain ascii text file containing one URL per
line. Users may also give Mosaic's hotlist file as an argument
(.mosaic-hotlist-default).
delay
(in seconds) if specified will display each URL from the URL file
with this fixed time-delay. So, just make sure that the delay
value is greater than the access-time of all the URL's in the
file ( i have no idea how to compute this, if you do figure this
out please feel free to share it with me i will be more than
happy to incorporate this into ss ).
loops
is the number of times you would like the slideshow program to
loop through the set of URL's in the specified URL file.
